Welcome to my 2021 blog. 

This is my first blog post for this year! I am in year 6 and there are 27 kids in our class My teacher is Mrs Stevenson.

 

The angry snake and the annoying raccoon

Once in a foggy swamp, at 5:30AM, racoons were running around the edge and snakes swam in the water and slithered along mossy tree branches.

A snake looked up as something shining bright caught her eye. A sneaky raccoon saw the shiny object too. The snake and raccoon move closer to check it out, and they see a golden hat balanced on the end of a branch swaying in the breeze.

Both animals moved quickly to the hat, each not knowing the other was wanting to get the hat. 

Suddenly a water rat jumps out of the water taking the hat from their reach. They looked everywhere  for the hat, wondering what had happened to it. They argued that the other had made the hat fall into the mud.

The snake and raccoon found out what had happened and captured the rat. They found the rat had two golden hats so they were able to have one each.

2 naughty monkeys

 2 naughty monkeys.

Once upon a time 2 monkeys were climbing the trees and swinging on vines.

The 2 monkeys steal insects from other bugs and steal fruit from animals. One time a spider saw what the monkeys were doing so the spider made a web immense enough for the monkeys to get stuck. When one of the monkeys got closer to the spider's web, the spider put fruit on the web. The monkey came to get the fruit but he didn't see the web and got stuck. Next the spider had to catch the next monkey. The spider  did the same thing as last time but put an insect in there and pushed a heavy rock down on another stone.

The monkey heard the noise so came to see what it was. She saw the other monkey trapped but left him there. She went for the insect and got caught too. 

The monkeys were stuck in the web for a long time until a giraffe passed by and broke the web making the monkeys fall to the ground.

Walt we are learning new words in Te reo Maori

Ko wai tenei? Who is this?		Ko Kevin tena. This is Kevin.

Reflection This was easy because we had to say a Maori version and English version so that is way it was easy.

Te reo Maori

Healthy gummy bears

Walt- We are learning to follow a recipe

1. First we cut the orange in half then we make orange juice (or lemonade juice) and pour it into a bowl.

2. Once you pour the juice into the bowl you get out a measuring cup then tip out the juice into the measuring cup and fill it up to 120ml.

3. When you filled the measuring cup to 120ml you pour the juice into the pot.

4. Add gelatin.

5.  Then get the sugar or honey (optional) 

6. Stir in the sugar or honey with the gelatin (use a spoon).

7. Pour the orange juice or lemonade juice into the moulds .

8. Wait 15-30 minutes.

9. Then pick the healthy gummy bears out.

10. And enjoy!

Reflection: When i ate a gummy bear it didn’t really taste yum it tasted weird because they were healthy but still kinda yum.
