Fractions
A    fraction  simply tells us how many  parts  of a whole we have. You can recognise a fraction by the slash that is written between the two numbers. We have a top number, the  numerator,  and a bottom number, denominator the. For example, 1/2 is a fraction.

cross country

Cross Country

When we got to school we had to get on a
school uniform and then my nan took me and
Joron to Johnny Jones farm to do
cross-country. There were 5 schools there.
The 5 and 6 year olds ran first. Then the 7,
8, 9, 10 year olds ran. The 11 year olds
and 12s ran at the end. I ran with the 7 year
olds. We had to sit on the mat and wait for
our race. We were allowed a snack, I had a
hot chocolate. In the 5 and 6s Grace came
1st. Then the 7s had to run. We ran down
through the gate and we all ran down the
hill and through the finish line. Mason.T
came 1st Kevin came 2nd and Jai came 8th.
I came 11th and Tyson came 12th. When we
finished the cross country I was thirsty so nan
took us to the shop and we got a drink.
I drank a mango smoothie.

Kapai Kai

 Kapai Kai Nachos 21.08.19.

On Tuesday we cooked Nachos with Whaea Anna.
We had to get out the electric frying pan the greater
and we had to use the blue plastic knives so we don’t
cut ourselves. Larell did the grating and I did the cutting
with a plastic knife. Grace and Chase cooked mince, then
Larell tipped the carrots into the electric frying pan with the
mince and I put in garlic and onion in and then we
added the spices. It tasted scrumptious, spicy and it
was chewy. I liked cooking with Whaea Anna.

If you don’t and you are running you are going to fall over and hurt yourself.
Put your hand up if you are in trouble
If you don’t you will drown.
Use the ladder to get in the pool

Make sure you have an adult watching you.
